We read the story of "The Mitten", made our own mittens, and put all of the characters from the story inside in sequential order!

We brought the snow indoors!!! Students got to play in the snow with various measuring tools and kitchen utensils!
The preschool watched the "I Have a Dream" speech of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Throughout the week we read various books about Dr. King's life including how he went to college at the young age of 15 and that his birth name was really Michael, but he and his father traveled to Germany and met and admired a Protestant leader named Martin Luther. They both changed their names when he was just 5 years old. Happy Birthday to Dr. King, and thank you for being such a peaceful and righteous man!

Our first Show and  Tell of the year!! Students got to bring in various toys, stuffed animals, trophies, and food!! After the preschoolers sat and listened to their friend's show and tell, they then got a chance to ask questions or comment on it.  This taught them to be a good listening audience, be respectful when someone is speaking, and learn to present in front of peers!
