The preschooler's are learning about the season Advent. We learned that it is a time of waiting for Jesus to be born to the Virgin Mary and that is his mother. We painted our hands to resemble an Advent wreath with 3 purple candles and one pink candle. Purple means it is a time to pray, have penance, and sacrifice. While pink symbolizes us being joyful Jesus is coming!

Thank you to all the of parents who donated to our preschool Veteran's day drive. We collected chips, baked goods, candy, sweat pants, body wash and an electric razor to help the Veterans in the Manteno, IL Veterans Home. Thank you again for being so kind and generous!!

4 year olds read the story, "Duck for President" and were able to vote on who they thought would be a great candidate for presidency. It turns out Declan Duck won the popular vote in our class election!

Happy Halloween from the Preschool 4 year olds!!!

Students all participated with feeling the inside of the pumpkin to feel the pulp (guts) and describe how it felt on their hands. We got a lot of responses like: squishy, cold, slimy, gross, stringy, and that it smelled like oranges!

Students then separated the pumpkin seeds from the pulp and Mrs. Cellini took them home to bake them! The students enjoyed them the next day during their snack time!

4 year olds also did a science experiment where we put the pumpkin in water to see if it is able to sink or float! Our results showed that the pumpkin does indeed float!
